Margaret's Reservations
Word Count: 100

Margaret still had reservations about this meeting. But Princeton was lonely for her. She didn't meet many people outside of Charlie's teachers. She couldn't even find a full-time job, because everybody new she'd leave when Charlie graduated.

She loved Charlie, but she was desperate for adult conversation that didn't revolve around math or science or even legal issues. She craved adult companionship and, yes, she craved sex.

She mulled over other possible options, but found none. This was the only way she would be able to keep her sanity.

No one would ever know, so no one would get hurt.

Margaret's Room Key
Word Count: 100

She weighed the room key in her hand nervously. It had been a long time since she had a carnal encounter. She blushed and chided herself. There was no point in being a prude.

It had been months since the last time she'd had sex. And frankly, both she and her husband had their minds on things like college funds and the expense of a bicoastal family.

It hadn't been a memorable encounter.

She was worried that she'd make a complete fool of herself. She would have knocked if other people hadn't been in the hall. No turning back now.

Margaret's Secret
Word Count: 100

The hotel room door closed with a soft click behind her.

Margaret fought back an urge to flee this secret encounter. What would the people in the hall think? What if word of her crazy secret made it to the news somehow?

Then she saw him and her doubts vanished. He looked even better than the last time she'd seen him.

Of course, the last time he'd seen him, he'd been hustling around trying to pack their station wagon, help Don pack and kiss her good-bye.

"Alan!" she cried.

She leaped into his arms and they tumbled to the bed.

Margaret's Encounter
Word Count: 200

This encounter was far more satisfactory than their last one. In fact, Margaret thought it was possibly their best ever since Charlie's birth.

"So, how's Charlie?" Alan asked when they caught their breath.

Margaret laughed. "He's fine," she said.

"What's so funny?" Alan demanded. "I'm rusty, sure, but…"

"It's not that," Margaret said. "And you'd better be rusty, Mister."

"So, what are you laughing at?"

"That after having sex, the first thing you think of is our son."

"Kids always come after sex, didn't you know?"

Margaret giggled again.

"Seriously, he going to be okay alone?"

"He's fourteen," Margaret said. "He'll be fine."

"Won't he wonder about me showing up tomorrow morning?"

Margaret shook her head. "I told him that you were coming in on the red-eye. He's expecting you to be at breakfast tomorrow."

"Won't he be suspicious about you leaving at 11 PM to pick me up in the morning?"

"He's asleep, silly. You know how soundly he sleeps."

"Hm, then maybe we can get a little nooky in while I'm there."

"I won't tell if you don't," Alan said. He nibbled her neck.

"Mmm…" Margaret purred. "He won't hear it from me. It'll be our secret."

Okay...I'm so gushy about this, I can't even be coherent.

What I'm trying to say is...*claps and squees* Thank you!

I thought for a second that you were going to have someone else, but then I realized it was you and you wouldn't do that. ;)

This was so cute.

Thanks, Jels.

Thanks, Magi. No, I'd never have Margaret cheat on Alan. Glad you liked the series!
